Have you ever returned an item to a store for a refund after having used it?
I am horrible for shoppers guilt, and subsequent returns at the stores where I shop. I probably have more than once, but when I've used it I try to only do it if it's broken.
Have you ever had a premonition? Did you heed it?
Submitted by aynge.
I've had plenty of times where I feel I've done something before, like deja vu. Lots of times I'll have dreamed a certain situation, and only remember bits and pieces of it. Only enough to know that I dreamed it and that I remember dreaming. I also have this fabulous thing called intuition, LOL
As for heeding it, I guess so. When my intuition raises my red flags, or if my kids aren't comfortable (kids are great for things like that) I back out.
What's the best new TV series this fall?
I don't normally catch too many episodes of tv shows, nevermind the new ones. I have caught few of The Good Wife and enjoyed them, but not enough to become a faithful follower.
If you were going to write a book, what would you write about?
Me. LOL
Yeah, I've lived a crazy life full of insane choices, and I'm surprised I'm still alive. Besides, I don't think I know enough about anything else to interest anyone, or to be accurate enough to fill a book up!
Do you consider yourself a hard worker? Based on what?
Of course! I don't mind hard work, never have (or so I'd like to think). I prefer to make my money, and worth my employers time to have me in. I keep busy the entire time I'm there, refrain from personal phone calls or texting, and I never find myself without something to do. Plus, I'm a strong believer in "If you don't do it right the first time, don't do it at all", so I do it right the first time. Oh, and I'm also very thorough, and because of all of this, I take pride in my work, no matter what I do for a living.
What's the last thing you won? How did you win it?
The last thing I won was $100 dollars playing Roulette at the casino.
That was last week. The week before that I won a gift bag from the Annual General Meeting for Westbank First Nation. It had some nice gifts, along with a $25 g/c for Canadian Tire.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how well do you sing?
I'd say a 6. Just above the average joe, but no where's near memorable.
What’s the hardest part about looking for a new job?
Sponsored by Monster. For me, it was the intimidation of change. Another factor that I found tough was to advertise myself in a completely confident and positive light. I don't normally brag about myself because I think it's just so rude.
I went from being a stay at home mom, to being the sole supporter for my family. I was afraid of being rejected (why didn't they think I'd suit the job?), and of being accepted (OMG, I wonder how hard the job will be?). Once I got a job, it was hard for me to feel confident about it because it had been so long since I've worked, and the other folks who were hired with me were so much more experienced. Once I got going though, it was a bit less stressful.
What are things you can do today because of technology that you couldn't do five years ago?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.Oh you mean things like texting, or networking online??
Yeah, remember the Nextels?? Those cell phone that were used like a two way radio to connect you and other Nextel users (not that I ever had one). Or how about doing a remote access to anyone online.
5 years ago I couldn't take such fabulous photos and post them online...I love digital cameras, and would be lost without mine!
How do you cool off when you're upset?
Submitted by K.I clean, or play with my kids. Turning my attention away from the things that get me all steamed up, really helps me clear my mind enough to think through what's really getting my angry. I prefer to step back once I get to that point, and then come back when I've clarified my problem, just so I can don't start carrying baggage around with me. It's easier to let it go when it's just one thing, and you've discussed it enough to feel more confident about.
